Spaceman meint: Wunderschöne Traumstrände, erstklassige Kostüme und hübsche Darstellerinnen schmücken diese HC-Produktion. Leider wurde die Story zur absoluten Nebensache erklärt. Auch antike Schiffe in der Vorgeschichte sucht man vergebens. Mit etwas mehr Mühe hätte man einen perfekten HC-Spielfilm daraus machen können. So sind es lediglich sehr schön anzusehende und perfekt präsentierte HC-Szenen mit einer allzu seichten Rahmenhandlung.
